NHS.UK - offers support for children and young people including advice and help on mental health problems including depression, anxiety and stress.
MindEd - a free educational resource on children and young people's mental health offering resources for parents and carers
Family lives - works to support families and includes links to local services, a parent forum and confidential helpline
NHS Mental Health App library includes the Think Ninja App which is free to 10-18yr olds during the Coronavirus crisis.
Kooth - online mental health services for children, young people and adults
Young Minds - supporting children, young people and their parents/carers with their mental health and well-being
Kids Inspire - supporting young people who are at an educational, social and/or economic disadvanatge resulting from trauma of mental health issues. For example those who have experienced abuse, separation anxiety or significant loss. Services include counselling, coaching, mentoring and group work.
YCT - recently commissioned by West Essex CCG to provide counselling to children aged 5-19 registered with a GP in West Essex. Locations for sessions locally include Loughton and Waltham Abbey. Young people and their parents can self refer by calling 01279 414090

West Essex Healthy Minds Service provides access to a wide range of talking therapy treatments for adults with common mental health problems including depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder and long term conditions. Healthy Minds accepts referrals for any patient registered with a West Essex GP.
You can self-refer by visiting the website or by calling Healthy Minds on 0300 222 5943.
